How much does counselling at LCC cost?

At LCC, as well as face-to-face counselling, we are able to offer Skype/Video-chat counselling. Skype counselling is not suitable for all clients.

Clients that may be particularly at risk are required to complete an in-depth assessment to assess suitability for this mode of therapy. Please note that only our qualified therapists deliver this service and it is not available as part of our low-cost service provision.

We currently have two service options that provide counselling for those in need, across all income brackets:

Session rates with LCC Registered Therapists vary depending on their location, level of experience and specialism, and start from £55.

Senior trainee counsellors and honorary counsellors who are working towards accreditation provide this service for general therapy themes.

The Low-Cost service is offered to individuals at reduced rates if they are experiencing hardship or are on a low income. Eligibility criteria for the low cost scheme are based on individual income and any other relevant factors, and will be discussed on an individual basis.

The cost of the assessment session to enter this service is £40 for an individual. Thereafter, the session fee is calculated based on your individual annual income. A minimum fee of £15 is charged plus £1 for every £1000 of annual income above £15000, to a maximum of £35.

Low Cost Sex and Relationship/Couples Therapy is also available via LCC’s sister company Sex Therapy Herts. Please click on the link for further information.
